We hope that your experience with horses at North Creek Farm will be rewarding. As such, we have set forth the following lesson program policies:

Payment
All group lessons must be prepaid in order to guarantee your space in the lesson program. Monthly payments are due by your first lesson of the month. Please note when you have five lessons in the month rather than four to make payment accordingly. Credits not used within the month will be transferred to the following month.

Rainy Day Lessons
In the event that it is raining when you or your child is scheduled to take a lesson we will teach an un-mounted lesson inside. Your lesson will not be canceled due to rain, see severe weather below.

Severe weather
If weather is questionable or severe, please check your answering service close to lesson time for any cancellations. When possible, we will make a call by 1:30 pm. No charge will incur for weather related or barn related cancellations.

Cancellation Policy
The courtesy of a phone call is expected when you must miss a lesson due to illness or emergency. Students who have a reserved space in our program will be charged for not showing up if a cancellation call has not been received. Our barn number is 704.664.8450. No charges will incur for properly cancelled lessons but not that if cancellations become excessive, we reserve the option of filling your lesson spot with another student.

Schedule changes
Please contact the barn and leave a message if you have a schedule conflict that requires changing the lesson day or time.

Make-ups
We will try our best to make up lessons when space is available. If you want to schedule a make-up lesson please call the barn at 704.664.8450.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are generally not offered to schooling riders unless they are first time students or they are recommended by our instructor. Any private lesson must be paid in advance or on day of lesson.

School horse leases
Instructor approved students and available lesson horses only. Horses are leased on a monthly basis for one day a week per month, same day each week, rain or shine. No refunds will be given for inclement weather. Refunds will be given to school horses that are needed for shows or being shown on your assigned day. You will be entitled to a refund or day exchange for that month.
